OUR SERVICES
Registration & Licensing
The Council provide Registration and License to Practitioners. The type of registration given depends on qualification level and nationality of practitioners.
Internship Training
The Council supervise and Coordinate Internship Training to Medical, Dental and Allied health practitioners. Also the council approves health training institutions.
Examination
The Council supervise and coordinate examination to Medical, Dental and Allied health practitioners before and after internship training.
CPD
The Council supervise and coordinate Continuing Professional Development(CPD) to Medical, Dental and Allied health practitioners which help in renewing licenses.
Malpractice Management
The Council have the legal authority and responsibility to monitor professional conduct and take action when a healthcare professional breaks rules, standards, or ethical codes

Window for 28th October, 2026 Pre internship examination is now open and it will be closed on 20th October, 2026.
Requirements for Pre-Internship Examination:
- A signed introductory letter from the University for those who are trained in Tanzania.
- Certified copy of Diploma Certificate for those who don’t have A-Level
- Certified copy of Degree (MD/MBBS/MBChB/DDS/BDS/DMD, Physiotherapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Occupational therapy, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics) for those who have trained outside the country.
- Certified copy of Ordinary Level Certificate
- Certified copy of Advanced Level Certificate
- Certified copy of Certificate of Birth
- Certified copy of Passport (For non – Tanzanian)
- Certificate of Swahili Proficiency from BAKITA (For non – Tanzanian)
- Certificate of evaluation from NECTA for those who trained O-level and/ or A-level outside Tanzania
- Certificate of evaluation from academic qualification from Tanzania Commission for University ( TCU) ( if trained outside Tanzania)
- One passport size photograph with blue background
- A non-refundable application fee amounting to USD 50 for non- Tanzanians and no fee for Tanzanians
